Success!

I am official. Last week, I signed a contract with Harmony Ink Press for the publication for The Sacrifices We Make! It will be released sometime in the Fall. I will post more details here as we go along. But in the meantime, happy dance!!!!

As for my writing, I have been a little slow. There is apparently a lot of paperwork that comes with publication, so I have been working on that. I did start a holiday short story, tentatively entitled "Culture Shock." So far so good on that, but I have a long way to go. MWMLMG is going well. I have about 3/4 done and am hoping to have the first draft done by the end of the month.

I also have some wonderful news for all of my readers. Dreamspinner author Brynn Stein has started a weekly prompt on her blog, which can be found here. I will be participating in this as much as I can, with work and my other writing. Currently, I am working on prompt one and should have it done tonight. When I have finished, I will be posting it under the original prompt on Brynn's page and here on my page. You can find all of my free reads under the tag "free reads." So look for a lot more free reads coming up!

A Victory for Gay Rights

Today is a great day in the history of gay rights. The Supreme Court have handed down decisions that will allow thousands of couple to get married and enjoy the same rights as their heterosexual counterparts. It is a huge step forward in the quest for marriage equality. That being said, there is a lot of work yet to be done. The Supreme Court has not granted same sex marriage to every person in this country and until that happens, we need to keep fighting. The good news is that the Court has opened the door. We just have to keep going. Because, after all love is love.

Why does Real Life hate me?

Hello all! I hope that everyone is doing really well. For my own personal life, I am doing really well as long as you don't count in my writing. MWMLMG has hit a snag that has nothing to do with the story. The school year has ended, which means that I have a lot more obligations. That teamed with some mandatory overtime at work and there is just no time to sit down and write. I am hoping to slowly start to chip away at the novel, but it might take me awhile. On the bright side, all of the real life distractions make waiting on an answer about Sacrifices easier.

The End of my Vacation

Well, tonight is the official end of my vacation. Tomorrow it is back to work. It always sucks when a vacation ends, but I have to say that I am starting to get a little stir-crazy. I don't know why, but for some reason since I went on vacation I have entered this weird vacation mindset and nothing has gotten done. I have done some reading and a lot of TV-watching, but that is about it. I have not even really written anything since I got back in the country. So I am hoping that getting back into my regular routine will help get my out of my writer's block. Especially since this continued waiting is driving my nuts...

Back in PA

Hello all!
   I have returned from vacation. It was so nice to get away from everything and just relax. I got to read a lot of books, although I am still dreadfully behind. And it was also nice to not have to worry about catching up with everything on the Internet.
     The only problem with vacation is all of the crap that you have to deal with when you come home. I have to unpack, deal with the mail, deal with my over 50 e-mails, unpack some more, catch up with all of my online accounts and the list goes on. Thankfully, I don't have to go back to work until Friday so I have some time. Maybe I will even get some more writing done...*fingers crossed* I will let you know.

Pre-Vacation Post

Hello all!
    Well, this will be my last post for awhile. Starting early Sunday, I will be cutting myself off from the Internet for one week. Completely. No e-mail, no twitter, no Facebook, no Blogger, no anything. This is the second time I have willingly disconnected from the Internet so I can say that it is very freeing. There is something very nice about not needing to worry about who needs me. But fear not, if anyone needs me I will be back in a week. Just leave me a message and I will get back to you.
     I have had a very productive writing week as well. I just finished Chapter 6 of 21(ish) of MWMLMG and have over 18,000 words done. I have a few days between the end of my real vacation and when I have to return from work so I am hoping to get half of it done by the time before I have to reenter the real world. The book is giving me a little bit more trouble than I hoped, especially stupid Chapter 6, but I am happy with how it is turning out. I am also considering changing the title from My World, My Love, My Game to My World, My Game, My Love. I will probably make a decision when I get back. Any thoughts?

Why Does Life Get in My Way?

So I have stalled for a little bit on my writing. My hiatus has been longer than expected, not because I wanted it to but because life is getting crazy. I am leaving on vacation Saturday so I have to do all of that pre-vacation crap that you have to do, like shopping, cleaning, organizing, planning, etc. It is all such a pain. But tomorrow is my last day at work for a little while and the bulk of my chores are done so I can spend Wednesday, Thursday and Friday writing. I am hoping that in two weeks I will have at least half of MYMLMG done. At this point, I have most of the first chapter done. I still have the whole thing planned, I just need to sit down and write.
