BLURB:
After defeating Meglar at Belsport, Farrell returns to Haven to recover from his injuries, but Khron, the god of war, has other ideas. He gives Farrell a new mission: free the survivors of the ancient dwarf realm of Trellham from their three-thousand-year banishment. To fulfill Khron's near impossible task, Farrell will need the help of his distance ancestor, the legendary wizard Kel. But Kel has been dead for a thousand years.
Farrell finds information hinting that Kel is alive, so he moves his search to Dumbarten, Kel's birthplace. To reach Dumbarten unannounced, Farrell and Miceral disguise themselves as mercenaries on board a merchant vessel. Their journey is disrupted when pirates attack their ship. While attempting to subdue the attack, Farrell is struck down by one of Meglar’s minions.
Unconscious and trapped in his own mind, Farrell's only chance for survival rests with Miceral and the peregrine king Rothdin entering his thoughts and helping him sort fact from illusion. To reach Farrell, they will need to rely on an untested spell from one of Kel's spellbooks. If they succeed, Miceral can guide Farrell home safely. If not, Farrell will destroy not only himself, but Miceral, Rothdin, and everyone around him.

Thursday Update-4/2/15

Hello everyone and Happy Thursday!!! I know I have been gone for quite some time and I do feel bad about that. I have missed being able to jump online and be able to talk with everyone of FB and Twitter and all other forms of social media. But alas, things in my personal life have shifted in a few big ways and because of that my writing has suffered. How much you all ask?? Well, let me explain.

I normally don't talk about my day job, nor do I want to. I write because I enjoy it as a hobby and I try not to taint that by discussing my day job. Some of you may know what I do, but the simple fact is it doesn't matter. What does matter is that I work for a heartless corporation who thrives on making their employees suffer. Things got so bad I even had to switch from working mornings to working evenings (which is why I'm not online much at night anymore.) And with the new mortgage and the still struggling economy, there are little to no options on leaving. Now I love writing and I hope to get back to it soon, but right now I need to focus on starting up something that will generate an income faster and more effectively than writing. After all, as much as I love writing it's not something I ever got into because of the money. So my fiancee and I are looking into starting up an online business that would provide authors and bloggers (and anyone else) stock photography to use on blogs and websites with no copyright issues. There would also be a custom component where we can create custom photos, logos, etc. I am super excited about this idea and I hope we can bring into life within a few months. After all, as an author I know how hard it is to find images for our social media so I am hoping this will help a lot of people.

Now let me be clear. I still love writing and I have no intention of giving it up. But I just need some time to get some things straightened out in my personal life and I hope everyone can understand that I will still update here as things develop and I will still be on my normal social media outlets for anyone who wants to chat with me. I want to thank all of my supporters in advance as I move forward. It is because of all of you that I am so passionate about writing despite all of the changes going on around me. And that is something I can never repay. I can't wait to get started on this new venture in my life and to share all of my up and downs with you.

Until next time...

Thursday Update-3/5/15

Hello everyone!!! I am back!!!! I missed the digital world so much. Especially when you consider how much moving sucks. But progress is finally being made. We have Internet at the house now, something that was lacking for more than a week. And even better, the kitchen, dining room and the living room are pretty much unpacked and ready to go. There are still things to do, like get carpet in the second floor of the house and then unpack everything that needs to go in the bedroom, but I am pleased at how much has gotten done. And even better, I feel like I will finally be able to start writing again soon. Now I haven't been able to write anything since my last post simply because of everything that has gone on over the past few weeks, but that should change soon. At least I hope so, because I have missed my boys. Oh, and in case anyone else has been wondering,"Different Tracks" is still going strong. All of the links are under my Free Read page if anyone has gotten behind due to real life like me.

Well, I think that's about all that's going on with me. I hope everyone has been doing well in my absence. Until next time...

Thursday Update-2/12/15

Hello everyone and Happy Thursday!! I hope everyone had great week. I did, but it was crazy. My man and I close on our house in less than a week and there is all sorts of paperwork and financial things to worry about, in addition to packing. But it is fun. And in a few weeks, we will be moved in to our brand-new house. So exciting!!

Of course with everything going on in my personal life, not much writing has gotten done. I did a little work on Rebellion, but that is about it. I wish I had more to tell everyone, but it may be a few weeks before I can.

On the flip side, while I have no time to write, the free read round robin I am involved in, is still going strong. "Different Tracks" is up to part 12 now. You can keep up to date with the story on my social media pages and all of the links for previous parts can be found under the free read section of this blog.

I think that is about it for now. I am not sure I will be able to post an update next week, but I will try. Have a great week everyone!!

Thursday Update-2/5/15

Hello everyone and Happy Thursday!!! I hope everyone is having a great week. I am, but my life has been so busy lately. I feel like I have barely written anything at all as I continue to prepare to move. Packing is very unpleasant. Plus, the fact that I am moving with my boyfriend means twice the packing to do. But at least I have some wonderful help. And despite all of the work, I am deliriously happy to be moving with the man of my dreams into our first house. But that's enough about my personal life. Here's what's been going on in my writing world.

"Different Tracks" is still going strong!! I posted Part 9 here on Monday and Brynn Stein put up Part 10 today. So you can keep up with all the action right here. Next up is Grace Duncan on Monday!!

My personal writing has still been focused on Rebellion. I think this story is very interesting and I wish I had some more time to devote to it, but I know I will be able to finish it the way it was meant to be.

I think that's about it for now. Don't forget to keep up with Different Tracks and I will be back with a new post next week. Until then...

And without further ado, please enjoy Part 9 of "Different Tracks"!!!!

Xander groaned when he heard the alarm go off. It was way too early. Of course, it was always too early to get up. Even noon was too early. But Xander could tell by the lack of sunlight in his room that it wasn’t anywhere close to noon. And that just made him groan again.
But he knew he couldn’t afford to go back to sleep. He had to work.
However, as soon as he thought of that, he knew something was wrong. He didn’t have to work today. It was Saturday.
Xander pressed his eyes together and smashed his head further into the pillow. How in the world could he have been so stupid? This was the day he had been dreading for the whole week. He would have to go to the Habitat for Humanity site and face Peter after their one-night stand. He would have rather stabbed himself in the eye than face the man again.
If only he had the guts to really do that.
But he knew he didn’t have a choice. If he didn’t go in, he would be violating his court order. And that could mean jail time. Or massive fines he didn’t have the money to pay.
Dragging his tired body out of bed, Xander tried to figure out how best to handle this. He knew he had to go in and Peter would be there. The man was just too perfect to bail out on the whole thing after he put so much time and effort in to it. But Xander was no good at interpersonal relationships. Probably why the  closest thing to a relationship he ever had was a quick fuck.
Getting ready for the day, Xander tried to come up with a plan of attack. The only thing he could come up with was to avoid Peter as much as he could. In theory, it was possible. After all, it was a big site and there were a lot of things going on. But Xander knew better. Even though he knew there was a chance he could avoid Peter, the site wasn’t that big and there weren’t that many people. Plus, it didn’t help that Peter was involved in everything since he had been volunteering there forever.
So unfortunately, that was his only option. Avoid and pray.
With a feeling of dread, Xander left the apartment and headed towards the site.
Xander was half-expecting Peter to be waiting for him at the entrance to the work site, but he was pleasantly surprised to see Peter was nowhere to be found when he got there. Xander knew he was there, since his car was in the parking lot, but the fact that he wasn’t waiting to hunt Xander down was a plus.
Xander said hi to some of the other workers, like Mr. J., who always made Xander smile, before going to work on his assignment for the day. But even though he tried to put on an easy face, Xander was anything but relaxed. He kept waiting for Peter to creep up behind him and ream him out for leaving right after sex. Xander hated waiting for it to happen, but he couldn’t bring himself to go up to Peter either.
As the morning dragged on, Xander saw Peter a few times around the work site, but he always managed to avoid him by ducking behind stacks of wood or cement mixers. He certainly wasn’t proud of hiding from Peter, but there was no way in hell he was confronting Peter.
By the time eleven thirty rolled around, Xander felt pretty good about himself. He had managed to avoid Peter for almost an entire morning. It hadn’t been easy, but it was doable. Especially since Peter didn’t seem all that eager to talk to him either.  Maybe this would turn out just fine.
“Xander?”
Xander cringed at himself before forcing himself to turn around. Damn. He had been so proud of himself for avoiding Peter that he had let the man sneak up right behind him. So not cool. No wonder he had never made it in a gang.
“Hey Peter,” Xander said, trying to sound as cool as possible, despite the fact that he was dying a little inside.
“I was wondering if you had a moment to talk.”

Xander nodded, but he knew then and there that he was beyond a doubt totally fucked.

I hope everyone enjoyed Part 9! Next up on Thursday is Brynn Stein with Part 10!!

Thursday Update-1/29/15

Hello and Happy Thursday everyone!! I hope everyone is having a fantastic week. Here is what my week has consisted of.

First of all, "Different Tracks"is moving right along. Today Charlie Cochet posted Part 8 which you can find here. So be sure to check that out. Part 9 will be right here so check back on Monday for the new part.

This week I have continued work on Rebellion. It's not very glamorous, but that's where my work is right now. And I will say it is starting to come along quite nicely.

Finally, on a personal note, things is my writing world will be starting to slow down a little bit over the next month or two. I have been in the process of buying a house and just this week everything came through. So in the next few weeks, I will be packing, closing on the deal, getting the house painted and prepared and then moving. I am super excited about this, but most of my free time will be going towards that and not writing.  Just please have patience with me while I work on settling in my first home. I might not be online as much and I might miss a post here and there. But I will be back in a few weeks better than ever!!! So thanks for understanding.

I think that's about it for now. Until next time...

Different Tracks-Part 7

This is part 7 of the Free Read Round Robin "Different Tracks. A complete list of past parts and where to find them can be found here. Enjoy!!

Part 7

Xander stared up at the ceiling. What the hell had he just done? One minute he was driving Peter to the diner and the next they were at Peter’s place where Xander had wasted no time in fucking Peter into oblivion.
It seemed so perfect at first. By the time, Peter and Xander got to the farm house, the chemistry was palpable. Xander didn’t even need a hand on his dick for it to get rock hard. In fact, neither one of them had made it in the house before they started shedding clothes. And the sex! Xander didn’t think he had ever had sex that good before.
But as with so many one-night stands, the rush ended with the orgasm. And now Xander was stuck. Peter was still passed out next to him on the amazingly comfortable king-sized bed. Xander still wasn’t sure how they had made it to Peter’s master bedroom, but he was happy they had. At least, now he could ponder his dilemma in a warm bed. So much better than his bed back in his shit apartment.
But no bed was going to help him out of this predicament, because what the hell was he going to do now? Sure, Peter was a nice guy and he had been a great lay, but Xander didn’t want a relationship. That just wasn’t his style. Xander was more of a let’s-have-a-good-time kind of guy. But he knew Peter wasn’t like that. He was way too good. Peter dressed better, spoke better and acted better. Hell, he spent every Saturday working harder than at his day job building houses for no money.
And Xander knew he had money. Just looking at his house told Xander that. Even amid the lust pulsing through him when he got to the house, Xander couldn’t help but see how amazing Peter’s house was. Even though the house was old, it had been completely redone. All of the floors had gleaming hardwood and modern conveniences had been added to every room. There were brand-new appliances, electronics and everything else. Apparently software developers got paid very well.
Yes, Peter was definitely too good for Xander. And Xander was sure that Peter would tell him that just as soon as he got up. No, not in those words. Peter was too perfect for that. But he would be sure to convey the message while still being a gentlemen. He was just that kind of guy.
But Xander didn’t think he could handle that kind of talk. He wasn’t an idiot. He knew he wasn’t going to be a part of Peter’s life. This was just a one-time thing.
The problem was getting out of the house.
Peter was still fast asleep. He had conked out right after the sex, which made Xander smile. Sure, it was good, but he didn’t think it was pass-out-afterwards good. But apparently Peter did.
Xander had never felt right leaving right after sex. It made it seem so dirty and wrong. But Xander didn’t have a choice. No way was he going to be able to face Peter now. Hell, he wasn’t even sure he would be able to face him next Saturday. That was why he always stuck to random club hook-ups until now. Too awkward.
Xander looked down at Peter one last time. He was still asleep, his face showing perfect peace. It almost made Xander stay there in bed with him.
Almost.

Carefully, Xander shifted out from under Peter and swung his legs out of bed. Xander went around the room as quietly as he could, grabbing his clothes and making sure he had all of his belongings. He spared one last look at Peter before running out of the house to his car. Because as fun as it was, he never wanted to face Peter ever again.

Thursday Update-1/22/15

Hello everyone and Happy Thursday! I hope everyone is having a good week. I know I am. And there have been some exciting things going on in the writing world. So let me talk a little about that.

"Different Tracks" is really starting to heat up. We are already on Part 6 (which was written by the amazing Kim Fielding). You can read it here. And I will be writing Part 7, which will go live on Monday so stay tuned for that.

Otherwise, I am still working on "Rebellion-Book 3 in the Noxium Trilogy". I am really excited about this series and am thrilled with how it is going so far. I may need some time to finish the series, because I want to get it right, but as long as that happens it will be fine.

I think that's it for now. But stay tuned because exciting things are coming...

Thursday Update-1/15/15

Hello everyone and Happy Thursday!! I hope everyone is doing well. I know I am. This has been a very exciting week for me. First of all, I had a birthday which is always fun. And I had a great one spent with friends, family and the best man a girl could ever want. Plus my football team won so that is always fun! And on top of that, I had a great writing week. So here is what I have done this week...

First of all, if anyone has missed it, I am part of a new free read round robin called "Different Tracks". There will be a new part posted every Monday and Thursday. Today's new chapter was done by Suki Fleet and can be found here. And if you need to catch up all of the back chapter can be found on my free read page.

As for my personal writing, this week I started the third book of the Noxium trilogy. It is called Rebellion and I am so excited about it. This one took me a little while to start since I had to completely junk my original outline and start over, but I think the story is going in the right direction now. I still have a ways to go, but I can finally see the end of this story.

I think that's about it for now. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Until next time...

I think that's about it for now. I hope everyone else is doing well. Have a great weekend everyone!!

"Different Tracks"-Part 1

Hello everyone and Happy 2015! With the new year I am bringing to you a brand-new free read. But this one will be better than the last. Why? Because I am not alone. This free read will be a round robin! I am kicking it off, but there are eight fabulous authors in this rotation. The other authors you will be reading are Bynn Stein, Grace Duncan, Suki Fleet, Elizabeth Noble, Kim Fielding, Lane Hayes and Charlie Cochet! New chapters will be posted every Monday and Thursday so be sure to check in and follow the whole story. I hope you are all as excited as I am because this is going to be amazing!! And now, without further ado, I present the first installment of "Different Tracks". Enjoy!

Part 1
Xander couldn’t believe this. It was just a few freaking parking tickets. So what if he liked to speed? It wasn’t like he had killed anyone. He just had places to go and things to do. It had nothing to with the fact that people who drove the speed limit pissed him off because why the hell wouldn’t you go fifty-five on a flat, rural road? Why did you have to go thirty when there was nothing there? Xander felt his blood pressure shoot up just as he thought about it.
It wasn’t fair. Just because that cop was a dick, he had to spend every Saturday for the rest of the year doing community service. The dumbass probably thought he was a gang member with all of his tattoos. Cops were always stopping him to ask about his art for that very reason. Xander had never gotten into any of that shit but maybe he should have considering how often he got blamed for it. Besides, the only reason had gotten his ink in the first place was the fact that his skin was all white and pasty. That and he had always been on the small and scrawny side. Xander grew up in the not-so-great part of town and being small was not an asset. The tattoos had helped. At least at first. Now they got him glared at by cops at every turn.
Xander looked at the clock next to his bed and swore. It was already eight thirty and he had to be to the other side of town by nine in the morning. It wasn’t that far in miles but when there was a stop light every ten feet it could take a while. And Xander still needed to eat some breakfast. Grabbing his keys and wallet off the cheap nightstand that sat next to his unmade queen-sized bed, Xander headed out of the bedroom into the living room. Taking one last look to make sure he hadn’t left anything on, Xander went to the door and left the one-bedroom apartment.
A blast of hot air hit Xander in the face as he stepped into the hallway. It may have been late August in Pennsylvania but since the hallways in the old apartment building weren’t connected to any kind of air conditioning, it was easy for them to heat up rapidly. Xander never liked the heat and couldn’t help but be relieved as he stepped outside the building. The temperature was only a little bit better outside, but at least it wasn’t so stuffy. The real problem was the humidity. Heat in Pennsylvania always sucked. It wasn’t just the heat, which could be brutal. It was the fact that it made everything sticky. There was nothing worse than being sweaty and having your clothes stick to every inch of you.
Trying not to think about it, Xander got in his grey 1999 Honda Civic Coup parked in the apartment building’s parking lot and started down the street. He made decent time to the Dunkin Donuts a mile or so away from where he had to report for his community service. He got an iced coffee and an egg sandwich on a bagel, trying to ignore the looks we got from the help. He didn’t think he was wearing anything weird. Just a wife beater and some baggy jeans. And his hair was fairly tame today, his brown locks lying mostly flat, the edges just curling around the bottom of his ears. Xander just shrugged it off as being his tattoos again. Either that or the fact that he, a pasty white guy, was pretending to be black. He’d heard that one before too.
Once Xander got his breakfast, he left the restaurant as quickly as he could. He didn’t want to deal with the looks anymore. Once he was safely in his car, he took a sip of his drink and checked the directions one more time. It wasn’t too far away. Hell, he might even be on time. But this was still the last thing he wanted to do. Knowing he didn’t have a choice, Xander started up the car and drove the rest of the way to the site, eating his breakfast sandwich as he went.
Xander pulled up next to a few other cars at exactly 8:58. Satisfied, Xander took one more sip of his drink and got out of the car. He took a look around. Habitat for Humanity. Using his day off to build houses for needy people was certainly not his idea of fun. Sure, it was a good cause, he supposed, but why did it have to be him?

Groaning, Xander started to walk towards the construction site. The sooner he could get this over with the better.
